Disney Dreamlight Valley: How to Make Empty Vials

Feb 18, 2024Feb 18, 2024

Disney Dreamlight Valley players need Empty Vials in order to make several other crafting recipes, including numerous potions needed for quests.

Crafting is a major part of Disney Dreamlight Valley, and making Empty Vials is something players will need to do often. Whenever the player is asked to make some kind of magical potion for a villager, they often need Empty Vials to do so. It's important for players to learn not only what items are needed to make Empty Vials but also where to get those items and what kinds of things players can do with Empty Vials. This item is considered a Refined Material, because, outside of being used for crafting and the occasional quest item, it serves no other purpose.

Refined Materials in Dreamlight Valley include items like Glass, Rope, Tinkering Parts, and of course, Empty Vials. For the most part, they can only be obtained by crafting, but some of them can also be purchased from Kristoff's stall in limited quantities. Players should always check Kristoff's stall if the Refined Material they need can be sold there.

The primary way to obtain Empty Vials is via crafting. Players will need to adhere to the following recipe to make Empty Vials:

Though it's easy enough since it only requires one material, it can be a bit confusing since Glass is another refined material. In order to get Glass in Dreamlight Valley, players can either purchase it from Kristoff's stall or craft it with five Sand and one Coal Ore. This means that all together, players will actually need 15 Sand and three Coal Ore in order to make a single Empty Vial.

Empty Vials can also be purchased from Kristoff's stall, although players are limited in the amount they are able to purchase on a given day. To make matters worse, this item isn't always guaranteed to be there, as it is part of his rotating stock. If Kristoff happens to be selling Empty Vials, players can buy 10 of them from him for 180 Star Coins each. It's worth checking his stall every day to see if he's selling them if players don't want to go through the hassle of crafting them with Sand and Coal.

Empty Vials are used in a variety of crafting recipes and can also be sold for 180 Coins, the same price that Kristoff sells them to the player for. It is a good idea for players to stock up on them whenever they are in Kristoff's stall or simply craft a bunch of them at once, that way players will be ready if a quest or item requires them.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
