Craft time for adults at Lincoln Library Aug. 8

Aug 12, 2023Aug 12, 2023

LINCOLN – Adults are invited to join library staff at Lincoln Public Library, 145 Old River Road, for a summer reading craft where they'll decorate a glass jar using dried pressed flowers on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 6 p.m., and on Wednesday, Aug. 9, at 10 a.m.

Participants will use a technique called decoupage to decorate a jar, which is about 4 inches tall. This technique involves using layers of craft glue to stick thin objects, usually paper, onto something else. But for this craft people will use dried pressed flowers. Then they will top off their jar by wrapping the edge in some twine and fill it with a battery operated tea light to finish off the piece.
