Smell like ‘victory’ with Trump’s $249 perfume

Jul 01, 2025Jul 01, 2025

It was Henry Kissinger who considered power to be the ultimate aphrodisiac. Now it seems the aroma can be bought, as President Trump launches a collection of perfumes costing up to $249 a bottle.

Advertised to “patriots who never back down”, the “official Trump fragrances” include the “Fight Fight Fight” and “Victory 45-47” ranges.

Available as a perfume for women and cologne for men, “Fight Fight Fight” is priced at $199 and has an image of Trump with his fist aloft displayed on each bottle. The name recalls the president’s response to his assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, last year. “This scent is your rallying cry in a bottle,” the slogan says.

The more expensive “Victory 45-47”, so numbered because Trump is the 45th and 47th US president, includes a rose-gold bottle with a maquette of the president and costs $249.

The perfume brings “confidence, beauty and unstoppable determination” with “every spray” while the cologne promises “rich, masculine notes with a refined, lasting finish … For men who lead with strength, confidence, and purpose — this is more than a cologne; it’s a celebration of resilience and success.”

• Trump socks, Trump snow globe, Trump bedding … Trump smartphone?

Trump launched the perfume collection on Truth Social on Monday night, between criticising Republican senators opposed to measures in his landmark One Big Beautiful Bill — which passed the Senate on Tuesday by one vote — and boasting about the link between tariffs and the improving performance of the US stock market.

He wrote: “Trump fragrances are here. They’re called ‘Victory 45-47’ because they’re all about winning, strength, and success — for men and women. Get yourself a bottle, and don’t forget to get one for your loved ones too. Enjoy, have fun and keep winning!”

Trump has a long history of launching perfumes. His previous concoctions include “Donald Trump — The Fragrance” which he launched in 2004 and “Success” which was released in 2012. The “Fight Fight Fight” range was briefly sold at Christmas last year.

His rivals have mocked him about body odour. In 2023, Adam Kinzinger, a former Republican congressman from Illinois who became a forceful Trump critic, said his smell was “truly something to behold” and that he was surprised people did not wear a “mask” during meetings. The allegations led to the hashtag #TrumpSmellsBad trending on X.

“If you take, like, armpits, ketchup, make-up and a little butt, it’s probably like that, all mixed up,” Kinzinger later said in an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show. “A little bit of a pungent odour, I would say. You definitely wouldn’t want to bottle it up and wear Trump cologne.”

Kathy Griffin, a comic who appeared on the reality TV show The Apprentice alongside Trump, has also criticised the president’s “distinct smell”.

“It’s like body odour with kind of like a scented make-up product — you can smell the hair products even outdoors,” she said during an interview with Mary Trump, the president’s niece.

Since returning to the White House, Trump’s merchandising empire has expanded and he reported more than $600 million in income last year. Products on sale include a $130 Maga necklace, an $18 Trump dog bow tie and a $38 golden candle care kit.

He has made an estimated $1 billion from cryptocurrency in the past year, including launching his own $TRUMP memecoin, according to Forbes.
